Climate Week is offering paid internship positions which will provide practical experience in running a high-profile national environmental campaign. Interns are being recruited to support the team with campaigning, digital communications, and PR.
We need people with flair, determination, a commitment to environmental change, an appetite for campaigning, first-rate communications skills and above all a focus on delivering results. The role will be based in Climate Week’s central London office.
About Climate Week
Climate Week is supercharged national campaign to inspire a new wave of action on climate change, taking place from 4-10 March 2013. High profile supporters of the campaign include the Prime Minister and Paul McCartney, as well as organisations such as the CBI, the TUC, Girlguiding UK and the NHS.

About the Internship
Internships are available to assist with a particular sector of the campaign, digital communications, or PR.
You will need to be educated to degree level and to have had demonstrable involvement in social, environmental or political issues, or experience of organising events, or to have worked in a professional marketing/communications role.
The qualities required include:
– Persuasive communicator in writing, on the phone and in person
– Highly organised
– Team player
– Ambitious, entrepreneurial, can-do attitude
– Good at prioritising and focusing
– Passionate commitment to taking action on climate change
– Recognises the value brought to the campaign by different sectors of society
– Customer-oriented attitude to stakeholders
The salary for an internship is £11,300 pa pro rata, although more may be available in rare instances for an exceptional candidate.
Interview/Start Dates:
Successful candidates will be expected to work on a fixed term contract starting in September or October, until March 2013.
Interviews will take place from 6 – 17 August.
