Wandering through London yesterday I was struck by the difference between some of the glorious steel and glass buildings and the, cough, shabby state of the tube stations that serve them. I do wonder whether Moorgate is the shabbiest station in the network as there is some real competition for that title, but it still feels poor when a station literally has pieces falling off of it.
