Comedians are set to spread the word of climate change with a special evening of comedy and entertainment in Tottenham next week.
Former Tottenham resident Eddie Kadi will be joined by fellow comedian Paul Chowdhry at the ‘Don’t Leave Me Turned On’ event at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, in Town Hall Approach Road, on February 3.
The event, organised by the Haringey Climate Change Youth Ambassadors, aims to raise awareness of climate change issues among local young people and the wider community.
As well as entertainment from the two comedians, crowds on the night will be treated to music from Rinse FM’s DJ Julie and short films from the youth ambassadors, educating people on how to to reduce their environmental impact.
The Haringey Climate Change Youth Ambassadors project is run by environmental charity Groundwork London and funded by Johnson Controls Inc and Homes for Haringey.
Judy Hallgarten, youth project coordinator at Groundwork London, said: “It’s great to have Eddie Kadi performing. We’re all looking forward to what is sure to be an entertaining night of fun and comedy.”
Tickets can be purchased at www.berniegrantcentre.co.uk and all proceeds will be donated to environmental and community charities.
