Wednesday’s march to defend public sector pensions was brimming with confidence, as trade union members and their supporters took on the government’s austerity agenda direct. Big Smoke was out taking pictures of the various banners and home-made placards we saw.

This is a small sample for your delectation, click to enlarge;

Bad dog!

For the millions not the millionaires

Police violence is un-cool

  1. Sue Luxton says:

    ‘Fred’ is probably ‘Fred the Shred’ aka Fred Goodwin, who left RBS when the govt bailed it out with a pension of £700,000 a year and a lump sum of nearly £3m. He agreed to reduce the payout (slightly) following public outcry. He later took out a super-injunction to stop people calling him a banker, apparently:

    Fred the Shred
